How to compare wholesale box prices

Compare the unit cost, pack count and quantity break before choosing a wholesale display.

Start with the selling unit

A box, jar or floor display can contain different numbers of pieces. Read both the piece count and display configuration. Compare products using cost per piece, then check whether the complete display suits your store.

Calculate the merchandise total

Price per box = pieces per box × unit price at your chosen quantity break. Merchandise subtotal = price per box × number of boxes. For example, 24 pieces at $5 per piece cost $120 for one box. This is a calculation example, not an additional offer.

Compare landed cost

Add confirmed freight, taxes and any handling charges before estimating margin. Do not treat a displayed merchandise price as the delivered cost, and do not assume a suggested selling price or guaranteed profit.

Before you order

Compare the same selling unit, use the quantity break for your order, and confirm the delivered total.
